Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Advanced Practitioner to join their Duty & Assessment Team

Responsibilities of this role:
  • Act as lead professional on complex and high-risk cases.
  • Undertake robust assessments and interventions at the initial contact stage.
  • Support and mentor Social Workers, including ASYEs and apprentices.
  • Chair strategy meetings and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding responses.
  • Quality assure assessments, CIN plans, and other statutory documents.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using electronic systems.
  • Promote and embed models such as Family Safeguarding and Motivational Interviewing.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure timely and effective responses.
  • Hold a small caseload of complex cases and co-work to support development of team members.
  • Drive performance and quality through audits, feedback, and reflective supervision.
Requirements of this role:
  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
  • Must have minimum of 3 year's experience working as a Qualified social worker
