A local government council in the UK is seeking Child and Family Centre Workers to support children aged 0-5 and their families. Responsibilities include providing access to information and guidance, facilitating community activities, and delivering outreach services. Ideal candidates will have relevant experience and a commitment to safeguarding children. The role is available both full-time and part-time.
Cambridgeshire County Council Targeted Support Service provides support to children, young people, and their families. Each district team consists of Family Workers, Child and Family Centre Workers, Young People Workers, Senior Transitions Advisors, Transitions Advisors, Client Researchers and managers.
The role of Child and Family Centres is to improve outcomes for all children, from pre-birth to age 19, and to reduce inequalities in outcomes between children growing up in disadvantage and the wider population. Child and Family Centres provide a focus for multi-agency teams to deliver integrated services to young children and their families.
We have 2 x Child and Family Centre Worker vacancies;
One 37hr full time post within East Cambridgeshire Child and Family Centres team.
One 21.5hr part time post within Wisbech Child and Family Centres team.

With a particular focus on the 0-5 age group, Child and Family Centre Workers provide support to children and families to access information, advice and guidance, play, support and learning opportunities in both targeted and universal group settings. Support will be delivered in both Child and Family Centres, Family Hubs and outreach venues within the wider community.
