Responsibilities

  • Support all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen.
  • Work under the guidance of the Head Chef/Restaurant Manager.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients for the full menu range.
  • Prepare hot and cold food orders to order.
  • Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process.
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards.
  • Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day.

Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Full Time Permanent Chef to join the team in our Restaurant in High Legh Garden Centre.

The hours for this role are 30 per week over 4 days. All positions include weekend working, so flexibility is a must. The benefit of no evening work and no split shifts is offered, and the centre is closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day to allow time with family.

Responsibilities
  • As a Chef, you will support all areas of food production and cleaning in the kitchen.
  • You will work as part of a small team under the guidance of the Head Chef/Restaurant Manager and be responsible for the preparation of fresh ingredients for the full menu range.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients
  • Prepare hot and cold food orders to order
  • Monitor stock levels and contribute towards the ordering process
  • Work efficiently to ensure low levels of waste
  • Carry out cleaning of equipment and working areas to the highest food hygiene standards
  • Close down kitchen each day including preparation for the following day
