A charitable organization in Northfleet is seeking a Chaplain and Almshouse Manager. This residential role involves providing spiritual and pastoral care to residents and managing the daily operations of the community. Huggens’s College was founded in 1844 as an Almshouse in Northfleet, Kent. The modern buildings include a Chapel, College Room, currently 30 units of accommodation and homes for two resident members of staff. (see )
The Directors are seeking to appoint a Priest, ideally from an Anglican background, to provide spiritual and pastoral care for College residents and to be responsible for the administration and day-to-day running of the community. The post is residential (a four‑bedroom house is provided) and requires a dedicated person with sensitivity towards elderly people from a wide range of Christian traditions.
