Overview

Centre Manager • Location: Reading and Brighton (travel fully expensed to Brighton).

Type: Permanent | Salary: £30,000-£33,000 + annual performance bonus.

The Centre Executive is accountable for the effective operation, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction within the centre. Acting in a supervisory capacity to Centre Operations Assistants, this role is dedicated to ensuring an exceptional customer experience, seamless day-to-day operations, and successful sales initiatives. Working closely with the General Manager, the Centre Executive plays a pivotal role in the centre's commercial performance and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), with a strong focus on revenue generation beyond fixed office space.

Your Chance to Lead with Impact

Take the helm across two premium workspaces — spearheading Reading operations (4 days/week) while bringing your listed building expertise to Brighton (1 day/week, train/car fully expensed). Manage 4 dedicated team members (3 full-time, 1 part-time) and partner with the General Manager to deliver commercial success, heritage preservation, and customer experiences that drive loyalty and results.

  • Customer Service Excellence
    • Deliver professional, engaging tours from first contact through to signed deals
    • Build lasting relationships via proactive communication, events, and support
    • Resolve issues swiftly, turning challenges into opportunities for delight
  • Operational Leadership
    • Oversee opening/closing, cleanliness standards, and daily workflows
    • Maintain health & safety compliance with specialist listed building maintenance
    • Manage facilities, repairs, and upkeep to heritage standards
  • Commercial Drive
    • Achieve revenue and occupancy targets through coworking, meetings & events
    • Execute "fast cash" sales strategies and track KPIs for continuous improvement
    • Support P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis
  • Team Development
    • Guide Centre Operations Assistants with 1:1s, training, reviews, and scheduling
    • Foster high performance through onboarding and constructive feedback
  • Compliance & Financial Oversight
    • Uphold GDPR, AML, and all company policies
    • Drive cost efficiency while maximising profitability
