Overview

27.50 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, Permanent

St Kentigern’s Academy is a Roman Catholic secondary school in Blackburn, West Lothian, with a current roll of around 1,065 pupils. The school has a strong reputation for inclusion, achievement, and community, with staff committed to delivering high-quality learning and teaching and supporting all young people to achieve their potential.

The CDT department consists of five teachers, led by an Acting Principal Teacher of CDT and supported by a Principal Teacher Curriculum with responsibility for Art, CDT and HFT. The department offers a broad range of practical and creative learning opportunities, including woodwork, metalwork, graphic communication and design and manufacture. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting this work, ensuring safe, effective, and inspiring learning environments for our pupils.

The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher, four Depute Head Teachers and an Area Business Support Manager.
