Job summary

A specialist service provider is looking for a Field Service Engineer based near Birmingham to join their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining CCTV systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring excellent communication with clients. Ideally, you bring 3+ years of experience, a relevant engineering qualification, and a strong background in CCTV systems. This role offers a salary of £28,000 - £38,000 per annum dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a similar Service / Maintenance Engineering position.
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to understand system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation of CCTV systems.
• Provide servicing & maintenance for CCTV systems.
• Identify and rectify faults on CCTV systems.
• Guide customers on functional and technical information.
• Maintain working relationships with colleagues and clients.

Skills

Experience in Service / Maintenance Engineering

Knowledge of CCTV systems and principles

Knowledge of electrical engineering

Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge

Excellent communication skills

Education

Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering or similar

My client is a specialist service provider for CCTV. They are looking for an Engineer to join their team near Birmingham on a permanent basis.

The Engineer will ideally have the following attributes :

• 3 year or more of experience in a similar Service / Maintenance Engineering position
• Have a background in CCTV with knowledge of CCTV systems and principles
• Knowledge of electrical engineering
• Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
• The ability to understand system requirements
• Be self‑motivated with excellent attention to detail
• Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written

The Engineer role will involve :

• Carrying out installation of CCTV systems
• Provide servicing & maintenance for CCTV systems
• Identifying and rectifying faults on CCTV systems
• Guidance and assistance to customers as required on functional and technical information
• Maintaining working relationships with colleagues and clients
