An esteemed educational institution in Rutland Farm Park is seeking a well-qualified School Staff Instructor. This part-time role involves managing all CCF activities, acting as quartermaster, and delivering shooting sessions. Candidates should have military qualifications and line management experience, alongside a deep understanding of the cadet force ethos. Working closely with the Contingent Commander, you will ensure the smooth running of all CCF activities at Uppingham School. This includes preparing for parade days, attending weekend exercises, camps and field days, and instructing both staff and cadets on a range of military matters. You will also act as the CCF quartermaster and supply organiser, assuming responsibility for issuing, recording, and managing all equipment and clothing issues across all CCF sections (Army, Navy and Air Force). In your additional capacity as Head of Shooting, you will deliver sessions in shooting, ensuring that all shooting and range activities are delivered with strict adherence to the School\'s health and safety regulations. This is a part-time role of 23 hours per week, Monday to Friday and Saturday afternoons, term time only, plus 3 weeks across school holidays. Normal working hours for this role are 2.00pm - 6.00pm (Monday to Friday) and 1.30pm - 4.30pm on Saturday.
Are you a former military service member or experienced cadet force instructor looking for a rewarding opportunity? Uppingham School is seeking a well-qualified School Staff Instructor to support the delivery of our outstanding Combined Cadet Force (CCF) programme. You will need military qualifications, including Skill at Arms and appropriate range qualifications. A full UK driving licence, along with the ability to drive a minibus will also be essential. You will ideally be an ex-Regular or Reservist SNCO or Warrant Officer or possess substantial experience within the cadet forces. Previous experience of line managing staff is also required. A strong understanding of the cadet force ethos and a genuine desire to support, encourage and develop cadets is equally important.
