Are you a former military service member or cadet force instructor looking for a rewarding opportunity? Uppingham School is seeking a School Staff Instructor to support the delivery of our Combined Cadet Force (CCF) programme. Working closely with the Contingent Commander, you will ensure the smooth running of all CCF activities at Uppingham School. This includes preparing for parade days, attending weekend exercises, camps and field days. You will also act as the CCF quartermaster and supply organiser, assuming responsibility for issuing, recording, and managing all equipment and clothing issues across all CCF sections (Army, Navy and Air Force).
In your additional capacity as Head of Shooting, you will deliver sessions in shooting, ensuring that all shooting and range activities are delivered with strict adherence to the School\'s health and safety regulations.
This is a part-time role of 23 hours per week, Monday to Friday and Saturday afternoons, term time only, plus 3 weeks across school holidays. Normal working hours for this role are 2.00pm – 6.00pm (Monday to Friday) and 1.30pm – 4.30pm on Saturday.
