Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation and proper food hygiene practices is required.
• Willing to obtain Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate if not already possessed.
• Flexibility in working hours to meet the roster.

We have a vacancy for a Catering Assistant to join our team. Supporting the Cook within our busy care home, you will assist in the delivery of food and beverages, providing menus that are healthy, nutritionally balanced, and meet any specific dietary requirements. You will support our customers at mealtimes, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times. Responsibilities

• Support the Cook with food and beverage delivery, ensuring menus are healthy and balanced and meet dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• Food preparation experience and an understanding of safe and correct food hygiene/handling procedures.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to work towards.
• Flexibility to work in accordance with rostered hours.

• We are currently consulting on enhancement rates. If accepted, from 1 December 2025 new enhancement rates of £1.00 per hour will apply to night working (8pm Monday to 7am Friday) and weekend working (8pm Friday to 7am Monday). This does not apply to sleep-ins.
