Job summary

A housing services provider is seeking a Carpenter for a full-time, permanent position in Ealing. This role involves performing carpentry repairs and maintenance with responsibilities including hanging doors and fixing windows. The ideal candidate will have experience or an NVQ in Carpentry, alongside social housing experience and a full UK driver’s license. Location: Ealing

42.5 hours per week (8-5 Monday - Friday)

About Us

Pyramid Plus South, a joint venture partnership between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, provides repairs and maintenance, compliance, planned replacements and fire risk assessment works. We successfully complete over 46,000 repairs, 1,000 voids and fit 600 kitchens and bathrooms annually to 23,500 homes. With a wide range of upcoming projects, there are exciting times ahead as we continue to grow!

Day to day duties
  • Carrying out reactive carpentry repairs in occupied properties
  • Undertaking 1st and 2nd fix Carpentry
  • Responsible for duties to include but not limited to – hanging doors, skirting, architraves, fixing windows / doors, lock changes, repairing worktops, kitchen units etc
  • Providing high levels of customer care at all times
Role Criteria
  • Experience or NVQ in Carpentry
  • Social housing experience
  • A UK full valid driving license
  • All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
  • To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21, have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
  • Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant DBS/Security checks before commencement of employment.
