We are looking for Care and Support Bank Workers to join our dedicated care teams on the Isle of Wight. As a bank worker you will be expected to respond to the care and support needs of residents, assisting with intimate personal care, maintaining a safe and secure environment, following health and safety requirements and maintaining up to date care plans and risk assessments.

We are looking for bank workers in locations all over the island, including Ryde, Sandown, Newport, Ventnor & Island‑Wide (driver essential).

Ideally you will have previous experience, but if not, show us the energy, enthusiasm and commitment to improve someone's quality of life and we'll provide all the training and support you'll need. We'll even help you to study for professional qualifications if that's what you want to do.

The location

You will be working at a number of different schemes based around Isle of Wight including Newport, Sandown, Shanklin and Ryde.

What you'll be doing
  • Provide the care and / or support to each resident as identified in their person‑centred care and / or support plan. This may include personal care at some services
  • Deliver the care and / or support in a way which promotes independence, rights, respect, choices and inclusion in their community.
  • Summon professional assistance in the case of an emergency / or deal with an emergency situation
What you'll need
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Able to work unsupervised and adapt to working environments
  • Basic IT skills
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle
