The successful candidate will provide excellent care for elderly patients, supporting various clinics and multidisciplinary teams. An exciting opportunity to join the Care of the Elderly team at Weston General Hospital. The successful applicant will work with the Care of the Elderly team and be predominantly responsible for providing care for patients on Care of the Elderly wards, including opportunities to work on the Older Persons Assessment Unit, Kewstoke ward (acute medicine for the older person), Uphill ward (acute medicine for the older person ward and stroke rehabilitation) and Draycott ward (complex discharge). The successful candidate will also be supporting the Care of the Elderly clinics including movement disorders, TIA, Frailty SDEC and Rapid Access Care of the Older Person (RACOP).
The post involves inclusion on a full shift rota with the Specialty Registrars. This is currently run over a 16-week period and includes long days, on-call, nights, twilights and weekend discharge shifts.
