Location: Grevill House, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham
Pay rate: £14.82 (Mon-Fri), £15.82 (Sat-Sun)
Contracted Hours: Bank
Shift Times: 6.45am – 2.15pm / 1.45pm - 9.15pm / 6.45am - 9.15pm (working alternate weekends)
ABOUT THE ROLE is part of the responsibilities and expectations outlined below.
Located in Charlton Kings, Grevill House offers compassionate and personalised care to residents. The home supports 50 residents in Grevill House and 15 residents at Ashley Intermediate Care Centre.
Lead a small team of carers to deliver outstanding care, while encouraging team members to perform at their best. Plan and implement care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity, and independence. Ensure care plans are regularly reviewed through continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Manage time between supporting the team and ensuring residents wellbeing. Support the Home Manager and lead a team of carers in delivering high-quality care.

You’ll have previous experience in a residential care setting with a NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or an NVQ Level 2 with readiness to study for NVQ Level 3. You may have supervisory experience (delegating tasks, supporting inductions, and 1-to-1s) but this is not essential. You should be a positive role model with excellent communication skills, able to motivate others to deliver the best possible care. Confident taking charge, using initiative to resolve problems and address queries.
NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, or NVQ Level 2 with willingness to study for NVQ Level 3 (as applicable). Prior supervisory experience is a plus but not required.
