Overview

Care Lawyer | Shipley | Full Time | Circa £50,000, depending on experience


Our client's practice has served the people of Shipley and the wider area for over 120 years and is now seeking a Care Lawyer who is a member of the Children’s panel to join their team.


What will your role look like?


  • Lead the Care Proceedings department, taking over from the retiring head of department

  • Represent clients in public law Children Act proceedings, acting on behalf of children, parents, and guardians

  • Accept instructions from Children’s Guardians (if accredited and experienced)

  • Help drive the growth and development of the department through strategic input and client relationship building

  • Potential involvement in family financial cases

  • Contribute to the firm’s wider goals with professionalism, integrity, and a client-focused approach


Are you the right person for the job?


  • Member of the Law Society’s Children Panel

  • Previous experience working with Children’s Guardians (preferred)

  • Strong advocacy and case management skills

  • Ambitious, driven, and ready for a leadership role

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Understanding of Urdu or Punjabi is an advantage
