Job summary

A community care provider in Leeds is seeking compassionate Care Assistants to provide essential personal care services. Ideal candidates will assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and medication management. This role requires flexibility in hours and a dedication to supporting clients in maintaining their independence. Training will be provided, making it suitable for both walkers and drivers.

Qualifications

  • Experience in providing personal care services is beneficial.
  • Ability to assist with rehabilitation and daily living aids.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including day, evening, and night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist clients with medication and attend health appointments.
  • Perform general household tasks including cleaning and shopping.

Job description

Lotus Home Care is an award-winning care provider that offers a friendly and compassionate home care service. Our Care Assistants provide a caring service to our service users in their own homes to enable them to remain as independent as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Working on a specialist package, full training given, walker or driver accepted
  • Dressing and undressing / preparing the service user for Day Care or trips out.
  • Washing / bathing / showering / shaving / grooming / cleaning teeth.
  • Hair care (washing / brushing).
  • Nail care (fingernails only).
  • Toileting and all aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Continence management.
  • Care of pressure sores (under appropriate nursing supervision).
  • Getting in and out of bed.
  • Assisting with the use of Aids to Daily Living / Rehabilitation Aids, as required.
  • Helping with rehabilitation programmes, as prescribed by Healthcare professionals.
  • Day / evening / night sitting services, as required.
  • Assisting the service user to take prescribed medication.
  • Informing GP of any changes to health
  • Supporting clients to attend health appointments
  • Preparation of snacks and meals according to the service user’s likes / dislikes.
  • Assisting with feeding, as required.
  • General cleaning duties, to include cleaning / dusting / vacuuming / polishing.
  • Laundering / Hand-washing / Ironing / Light needlework, as required.
  • Shopping, and the preparation of shopping lists and assistance with budgeting.
