Overview

Hywel Dda University Health Board is seeking to appoint a Capital Programme Support Officer to join its Capital Planning Team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team to support the delivery of an ambitious programme of capital projects over the coming years. The post holder will be required to support a wide range of project management duties supporting others in the team with a wide portfolio of capital projects and programmes supporting the health board's strategy A Healthier Mid and West Wales and the West Wales Regional Capital Plan. The post holder will play an important role in arranging and servicing meetings, ensuring projects and programmes run in a timely and co-ordinated manner.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the development of capital schemes through robust project management and governance procedures. Servicing project and programme meetings
  • Supporting committee level meetings through minutes and action logs
  • Risk and Issues Control and Management - supporting development of risk and issues registers
  • Supporting with communication and engagement plans of capital schemes
  • Supporting all administrative functions within the capital planning team as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be expected to work from the Carmarthen office for a set number of days each week in line with service needs. There will also be the opportunity to work agile on some days.

Qualifications / Skills

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellent organisation skills and be flexible and adaptable in their approach to work. They must be able to work on their own initiative, use tact and diplomacy where appropriate and possess excellent communication skills. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
