Overview

Business Unit Manager wanted to join a global leader in engineering and manufacturing based in Coventry on a permanent basis, paying £80,000 - £100,000 per annum + fantastic benefits.

We're looking for a hands-on Business Unit Manager to take charge of a key production stream working for a global leader in engineering and manufacturing. You'll join a highly respected organisation known for delivering cutting-edge solutions, maintaining industry-leading standards and being the best in class.

As Business Unit Manager, you'll be responsible for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team performance — making sure engineering components are delivered on time and to the highest standards. This role is about more than managing and overseeing production. You'll:

  • Lead and inspire a large team - leading by example
  • Coach and develop your team
  • Drive improvement by using Lean tools and techniques to reduce lead times, boost productivity, and eliminate waste
  • Deliver results by hitting sales plans, reducing costs, and improving customer satisfaction
  • Keep people safe and build a positive, can-do culture
  • Make decisions on budgets, staffing, and operations that directly impact annual turnover
  • Have full ownership of the business unit P&L, including cost analysis, margin growth, lead-time reduction, manufacturing productivity, and inventory management
