Business Development Manager – Voltix Services
(New Business–Focused Role)
About the Role
Voltix Services is looking for a high-energy, results-driven Business Development Manager to win new business and open new doors across our facilities services portfolio. This is a new business–focused role, centred on identifying opportunities, engaging decision-makers, and converting prospects into long-term clients.
You will be responsible for generating your own pipeline, leading sales conversations from first contact through to contract award, and driving sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Generation Proactively source, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within commercial and public-sector estates. Use outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and market intelligence to build a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Stakeholder Engagement Engage Facilities Managers, Heads of Estates, and senior property stakeholders through confident, value-led conversations. Secure meetings, uncover pain points, and position Voltix as a trusted service partner.
- Consultative, Value-Led Selling Identify operational risks, compliance gaps, and performance issues across maintenance, compliance, energy, and building services. Develop compelling, outcomes-focused solutions that demonstrate clear commercial and operational value.
- End-to-End Sales Ownership Own the full sales cycle from initial contact through to close. Manage discovery, solution design, proposal development, pricing, negotiation, and contract award.
- Commercial Control Lead the creation of persuasive proposals, scopes of work, and pricing models. Take ownership of margins, deal structure, and commercial strategy to ensure profitable outcomes.
- Pipeline & Forecasting Maintain accurate pipeline data and sales forecasts. Track activity against agreed KPIs and provide clear updates to senior stakeholders.
- Closing & Handover Drive opportunities to close through effective negotiation and objection handling. Ensure smooth handover to delivery teams once contracts are secured.
What You’ll Need
- Proven success in a new business or hunter-style sales role within FM, building services, or a technical B2B environment
- Demonstrable track record of self-generating leads and winning new clients
- Confidence engaging senior decision-makers and influencing buying decisions
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, and deal structuring
- Ability to manage the full sales cycle independently
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- High levels of motivation, resilience, and organisation
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office
