Job description
Business Analyst – Product (Fintech)

This is a brilliant opportunity for an early-career Business Analyst to join a fast-growing fintech and sit at the heart of its product development. You’ll work closely with commercial, operations, compliance and engineering teams to turn business needs into clear, well-structured requirements that power new features, smoother journeys and better client experiences.

You’ll be the connective tissue between stakeholders and delivery teams – asking smart questions, mapping processes, documenting requirements and helping ensure what gets built is exactly what the business and customers need.

What you’ll be doing
  • Talking to stakeholders across the business to gather detailed functional and non-functional requirements, and making sure everyone is aligned on the problem to be solved.
  • Turning those needs into clear documentation – from BRDs and user stories to process and data flows – that product and engineering can build from with confidence.
  • Supporting the full product lifecycle : requirements, design, testing, rollout and post‑launch checks, including helping with UAT, issue tracking and validating that features work as intended.
  • Helping to keep internal documentation up to date, including business processes, system workflows, integration points and product behaviours.
  • Working hand-in-hand with Product Owners, Engineers, Operations and Compliance to keep communication smooth, surface dependencies early and spot gaps or inefficiencies in how things work today.
  • Proactively suggesting improvements where you see ambiguity, rework or clunky processes, and helping shape better, more scalable solutions.
The kind of person who will thrive
  • A clear, confident communicator who is comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leaders.
  • Naturally structured and analytical, with strong attention to detail and a thoughtful approach to gathering, testing and documenting requirements.
  • Proactive, curious and self‑motivated – someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, sometimes ambiguous environment and isn’t afraid to ask questions.
  • Collaborative, relationship‑driven and happy working across product, tech, operations and compliance to get to the best outcome.
  • Genuinely interested in building a long‑term career in product and fintech, with a growth mindset and a desire to keep learning.
Background we’d love to see
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, Finance, Information Systems or similar.
  • Around 1–2+ years’ experience in business analysis, consulting or a similar analytical role (e.g. junior BA, systems analyst, consulting analyst).
  • Some exposure to financial services, fintech or other regulated environments is ideal, along with familiarity with agile ways of working and tools like Jira / Confluence.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping and stakeholder engagement, plus a basic understanding of financial products, payments or multi‑currency flows is a bonus.
What success looks like
  • Clear, concise and complete documentation that enables engineering teams to deliver accurately with minimal rework.
  • Smooth hand‑offs between business and product / engineering, with fewer surprises once development begins.
  • Strong, trusting relationships across teams and visible improvements in how requirements and scope are managed.
  • Proactive identification of issues early in the lifecycle and growing contribution to more complex or strategic product initiatives over time.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary with a genuine sense of ownership through profit share and equity, so you share directly in the company’s success.
  • Hybrid working with regular time in a central London office, plus a generous learning and development budget to support your growth.
  • Memorable team culture with company trips, regular socials, shared meals and plenty of chances to connect with colleagues outside day‑to‑day work.

If you care about building meaningful products, enjoy collaborating across teams and want to grow in a high‑growth fintech environment, this role will give you plenty of scope to learn, contribute and make a visible impact.
