Responsibilities
  • Lead on a programme of work to identify areas for process improvement and changes to ways of working from inception to conclusion, with a focus on the delivery of transformational activities that deliver efficiencies and improved employee and customer experience.
  • Lead a project across the Council to identify and improve inefficient processes, procedures, ways of working etc and recommend alternative approaches with the use of technology solutions to remove waste and optimise output and productivity.
  • Utilise continuous improvement tools to engage stakeholders in root cause analysis, problem solving, process mapping, etc., and working with key stakeholders to implement changes.
  • Use insight from data and predictive analytics to drive decision making to develop business cases to outline findings and recommendations to support investment that will enable a change.
  • Accurately report on the outcome of data collection and analysis, draw conclusions and make recommendations for redesign/new ways of working.
  • Support, inspire and challenge services to think differently to achieve the best solutions and outcomes for customers, residents, employees, the Council and partners.
Qualifications
  • Experience in successful delivery of process improvement and new ways of working.
  • Ability to lead on process redesign workshops.
  • Strong data analysis, process redesign techniques and methodologies experience.
  • Problem solving, planning, organisation skills and attention to detail to accurately write reports, present outcomes and give recommendations.
  • Confident leading on and managing change while delivering and implementing service improvement and process redesign.
  • Capability to facilitate focus groups and engage others in working collaboratively to determine a workable solution.
  • Working with data to identify and report on measures, problems and find solutions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and data collection methodologies.
