Overview

Gallagher Re is implementing a transformation portfolio consisting of various projects delivering solutions which will bring significant business change. The successful candidate will be part of Gallagher Re's Global Projects & Change team and is responsible for delivering business analysis on projects of various sizes and scope. You will be closely collaborating across Gallagher Re with relevant Business, Operations, Technology, Data and Gallagher Group colleagues.

In this role you will engage with stakeholders in order to collect, analyse, develop, document, communicate business requirements, and if required support user testing and change management to achieve business goals. Based on understanding requirements you will also collaborate with other functions to determine suitable available, or new solutions, and their feasibility. You will possess adaptable communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical language, to collaborate with stakeholder and negotiate across multiple stakeholders.

We are looking to speak to individuals with working knowledge of (re)insurance, ideally experienced in a global matrix organisation and definitely in an organisation with a UK/US footprint with international touchpoints. Therefore, leadership, relationship management, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills are required.

This role is based from our London Headquaters and you will be expected to be in the office two days a week as a minimum.

How you\'ll make an impact
  • Responsible for acting as the link business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that business requirements are clearly understood, detailed and translated into effective recommendations and/or solutions
  • Collaborate with Tech, Data and other teams to determine if appropriate internal or external solutions currently exist, or whether new solutions are required and feasible
  • Provide assistance in business case development (i.e., research, data collection)
  • Responsible for analysing, assessing and documenting business processes, systems and operations to identify strengths and opportunities, impact of projects / change
  • Gather business requirements and insights to help propose effective solutions based on business experience of issues / causes
  • Work with business at all levels to collaborate on clearly defining the "as is" state and the "to be" solutions based on agreed project scope
  • Develop test approach with stakeholders, user test cases, may execute test cases and validates test results
  • Ensure accurate activity and resource planning for execution of business analyses
  • Build use cases to identify functional requirements to satisfy business needs
  • Work with the PM and CM to ensure clarity of scope and deliverables and escalates concerns to PM as required
  • Face off with, Programme Managers, Project Managers, Change Managers, technical delivery team and the business as required
  • Attend monthly meetings with project teams to review key issues / concerns & costings
  • Regular 1-2-1s with business, PMs, CMs, BAs, technical delivery team as required
About you
  • Previous exeperience working in a Business Analyst position gained working in a Broking, Company or MGA environment is required
  • Insurance or consultancy experience working with insurance clients is essential.
  • Cultural awareness and able to adapt style and approach to the country they are working/collaborating with
  • Understanding of complex organisational structures, functional interaction and roles and responsibilities
  • Experience in delivery through both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Business Analyst / operations lead with experience of multiple business change initiatives
  • Experience of facilitating workshops and conducting interviews with stakeholders at all levels
  • Capable facilitator and trainer able to transfer learning and skills
  • Ability to find innovative ways of solving or pre-empting problems
  • Lean facilitation skills and knowledge of Lean process improvement tools and approaches
  • Numerate and IT literate and a proficient user of Microsoft Office tools specifically: PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience of Process modelling tools (e.g. Visio) and any resource or financial planning tools
  • Preferable experience in near- and/or off-shoring
  • Experience in documenting and communicating process flows / diagrams
  • Understanding of change management principles and methodologies with experience in role, process and systems transformations
  • An understanding and experience of the full project lifecycle and project management
  • Experience of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project) would be an advantage
