A London Local Authority is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Building Surveyor to deliver building‑fabric projects across the corporate estate, leisure centres and education buildings. You will ensure buildings remain safe, compliant and operational while managing projects such as roof replacements, fire door and window upgrades from feasibility through to completion.
Lead and deliver building‑fabric projects, ensuring statutory compliance and alignment with council performance targets.
Manage the full lifecycle of refurbishment, maintenance and small new‑build projects.
Provide technical expertise in building fabric, supporting surveyors and engineers within the Technical Services Team.
Oversee reactive and cyclical maintenance programmes.
Work with appointed contractors to ensure effective project delivery.
Maintain and update fabric condition data using CAFM systems.
Extensive experience in construction or building‑fabric maintenance management.
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, statutory requirements, H&S and CDM.
Understanding of fire compartmentation regulations and asbestos management.
Proven experience managing building surveyors or project engineers.
Background working on a broad range of commercial buildings, from BREEAM‑rated public buildings to Grade II properties.
Confident using CAFM systems such as TF Cloud (or equivalent)
