Job Title: RICS Building Surveyor - Education Sector

Location: Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire

Responsibilities
  • Undertake condition surveys and produce detailed reports.
  • Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documents.
  • Manage refurbishment and maintenance projects from inception to completion.
  • Provide expert advice on building defects, statutory compliance, and remedial works.
  • Assist with funding applications such as the Condition Improvement Fund (CIF).
  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through strong communication and commitment.
Requirements
  • Chartered status (MRICS or FRICS).
  • At least 3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within the education sector.
  • Solid understanding of building construction, regulations, and project delivery.
  • Experience with public sector frameworks and procurement.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
