Overview

Our client is a well-established building consultancy. They’re expanding their specialist Building Safety Team and need a Project Manager/Employer’s Agent to lead high-risk cladding remediation and fire improvement works across London and the South East. You’ll oversee schemes valued between £1 million and £10 million, from pre-contract planning through post-contract completion, ensuring full compliance with the Building Safety Act.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of cladding replacement and fire improvement projects.
  • Act as Employer’s Agent and Project Manager, managing all pre- and post-contract activities.
  • Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act on high-risk buildings.
  • Report directly to the Project Management Partner, Luke Turner.
  • Maintain project documentation, budgets, programmes, and risk registers.
  • Drive client development through networking, business development, and bid submissions.
  • Identify and develop new commercial opportunities.
  • Manage, mentor, and train junior team members and graduates.
  • Monitor and report team performance to senior management.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project to produce reports and presentations.

  • Public and private sector landlords, housing associations, and commercial developers

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • MRICS, FRICS, MAPM, CHPP, or MCIOB qualified with a minimum of four years’ post-graduate experience in Project Management, Employer’s Agent, and Contract Administration
  • OR at least ten years’ demonstrable experience in construction project management, with significant exposure to building safety and cladding projects
  • Proven track record delivering high-risk building works under the Building Safety Act
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong client relationship skills and business development acumen
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proactive problem-solver who drives issues through to resolution
  • Experience managing project teams and reporting performance metrics
  • Proven mentoring and training experience for juniors and graduates
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (highly desirable)
