Job summary

A hospitality company in Cambridge is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain common areas and hotel guestroom equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs, as well as responding to guest maintenance requests. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and relevant experience. Flexible hours including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Overview

The Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for maintaining common areas, meeting spaces, restaurants, bar, sauna, fitness center, pool area, and hotel guestroom preventative maintenance. Additionally, the technician assists with the repairs and maintenance of hotel equipment, including mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps and motors.

Compensation: $16 - $20 hourly

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and mechanical systems to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure the safety and cleanliness of public spaces through daily inspections.
  • Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests, ensuring efficient resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general carpentry.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend support as needed for urgent maintenance needs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in PMS Rooms Management, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
