Position Overview:

We are looking for a qualified Building Automation Controls Technician to install, program, and service Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS) in commercial and institutional buildings across Horn Lake and Oxford, MS. This technician will be responsible for integrating systems, commissioning new installations, and supporting ongoing service contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install and wire control panels, sensors, actuators, and field devices in accordance with project drawings and schematics.
  2. Program controllers and configure user interfaces (e.g., graphics, alarms, trends).
  3. Commission, test, and validate Building Automation Systems for HVAC, lighting, and energy control applications.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve software, communication, and field wiring issues.
  5. Collaborate with project managers, electricians, mechanical contractors, and building owners.
  6. Provide on-site support and training to facility staff on BAS functionality.
  7. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and service reports.
  8. Travel between Horn Lake, Oxford, and surrounding project sites as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED required; technical school or associate degree in electronics, HVAC controls, or a related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience with BAS/BMS installation, programming, or servicing (e.g., Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, or similar).
  3. Ability to read control wiring diagrams, submittals, and mechanical/HVAC plans.
  4. Proficiency in using laptops, hand tools, and control commissioning software.
  5. Familiarity with IP networking, low-voltage electrical systems, and BACnet/MSTP or Modbus protocols.
  6. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or on a team.
Skills:
  1. Experience with Tridium Niagara 4 (N4) or NCE/NCM platforms.
  2. OSHA 10/30 certification.
  3. Low-voltage electrical license (not required in Mississippi).
