BSL & Communication Support Assistant – Hebburn

Pay: £89 to £110 per day
Start: Immediate
Contract: Full-time

This role is ideal for someone who believes communication should be accessible in every form.

You’ll support children who use a mix of BSL, symbols, gestures and sensory cues to express themselves. Your role is to help each pupil feel heard, understood and connected.

Your day might include:

  • Using BSL or sign-supported communication
  • Supporting sensory and communication programmes
  • Helping pupils feel safe, calm and confident
  • Working closely with speech therapists and class teams

You’ll shine if you:

  • Have BSL experience (any level welcome)
  • Understand autism, sensory needs or complex learning profiles
  • Enjoy helping pupils develop their own voice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
