Job description

Longvernal Primary School are looking for an Early Years Trained Breakfast Club & After School Club Supervisor to look after pupils who use our wrap around facilities.

Hours: 6 Hours a week

7.30am – 9.00am Breakfast Club Monday & Tuesday

3.00pm – 6.00pm After School Club Thursday

Salary: Grade 1 SCP 3-4 24,796.00 – 25,185.00 – Actual Salary 3,393.03 – 3,446.26 pro rata

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide safe creative and appropriate play opportunities
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out within an equal opportunities framework
  • Undertake any necessary training
  • Encourage community-wide participation and activity planning and delivery
  • Develop and maintain good relationships and communications with parents to facilitate day to day caring needs
  • Consult with the children and involve them in the planning of activities
  • Ensure that activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner
  • Ensure that food provision is carried out within the guidelines of the food safety act 1990
  • Ensure that a wide range of creative and enjoyable activities are offered
  • Ensure that play meets the full range of children's individual and group needs
  • The main purpose of this role is to assist with providing a caring engaging and secure environment for children between the ages of 4-11 through individual attention and group activities by organising an appropriate range of leisure activities.
Qualifications

Childcare Practitioner should be organized, enthusiastic, with a professional childcare qualification and experience in a similar role. Ideal candidates would have both a food hygiene and first aid certificate.
