Job description
Brand and Content Writer

18-month fixed term contract

South East London – hybrid working available

Are you skilled at shaping messages into clear, compelling communications? Do you love crafting content that connects, inspires and makes people feel seen and understood? If you’re a creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and a gift for making the complex feel clear, we have the role for you.

We’re looking for a Brand and Content Writer who can lead how we communicate across our websites and who can help others find their voice. Planning, developing and delivering a digital content strategy, you’ll ensure we connect and build trust with our key audiences. You’ll be part of a supportive, purpose-driven team that values curiosity, kindness and collaboration.

This is more than a writing role. It’s a chance to lead and create content that truly makes a difference to people’s lives. The role is fast-paced and strategic, as well as very hands-on. You’ll need to see the bigger picture while delivering high-quality, meaningful content.

What you’ll be doing
  • Leading our website content strategy – with around 80% of your time initially focused on refreshing and modernising our website. This will involve designing clear, concise, engaging and inclusive content that puts our residents at the heart of the experience. You’ll help tell our story clearly and transparently, so we can connect better with our residents and customers.
  • Bringing our refreshed tone of voice to life, championing its rollout across the organisation.
  • Collaborating across teams to ensure a joined-up, human-centred experience for residents, colleagues and stakeholders across our touchpoints.
  • Coaching and supporting colleagues to write with clarity, confidence and care.
  • Creating practical resources – toolkits, templates and guides – to help teams communicate well.
You’ll live our values
  • Be kind – you’re thoughtful and empathetic in every interaction.
  • Do the right thing – you act with integrity and always put residents first.
  • Love new ideas – you’re curious and always looking for ways to improve.
  • Celebrate diversity – you value different perspectives and help create belonging.
  • Keep our promises – you do what you say you will.
  • Pull together – you collaborate and seek diverse views, even in challenging situations.
