Role Description

An integral position within the team, to provide seamless and exceptional customer and client services and be a vital link between our venue and our audiences. To assist in all aspects of the operation of the building in relation to events staged at the Venue.

About You
  • Experience in a box office environment within the live entertainment industry
  • Live and club music venue management
  • Significant experience in ticketing platforms
  • Knowledge of the local market
  • Line management of staff and contractors
  • Administration and familiar with Excel and Office
  • Finance and cash handling
  • General understanding of the technical requirements of live and club events
  • Experience of working with event promoters both local and nationally
  • Understanding of licensing issues for events
  • Proven track record in customer service
  • Good communication and diplomacy skills

What the role includes

General:

  • Support an efficient and smooth box office service
  • Daily liaison with Ticketmaster, ticket agencies and promoter ticketing departments
  • High quality customer service
  • Maintain first-rate relationships with clients, partners and audiences
  • Ensure accurate and timely sales of all ticketed events
  • Monitor ticket allocations to maximise sales through Ticketmaster
  • Make sure all paperwork and reporting is completed and professionally retained
  • Proactively administer all accessible ticketing requirements and communications
  • Financial reporting and administration
  • Maintain ticket stock and Ticketmaster equipment
  • To assist all departments of the venue in general administration
  • To assist in all aspects of the Operation of the building in relation to events staged at the Venue. To act as a central point for all relevant parties, furthermore to disseminate such information to relevant parties both internal and external.
  • To act as Duty Manager for the Venue as agreed in advance with the General Manager and in the absence of the General Manager to assume such duties as is necessary to ensure the smooth running of the venue operation.
  • To act as Academy Event rep as agreed in advance with the General Manager to assume such duties as is necessary to ensure the smooth running of the event on behalf of Academy Events.
  • Booking local support acts for Academy Events and external.
  • Support the Company’s charitable and guest ticketing services
  • Troubleshoot and report technical issues
  • Work collaboratively with the venue team, partners and Company head office
  • Publicly represent the venue and Company in a professional manner
