Job Title: BMS Project Engineer

Location: Mobile London / South East

Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent

Overview

We are looking for an experienced BMS Project Engineer to join our project delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Management Systems, including project engineering, software development, commissioning, and coordination of installation works. You will play a key role in delivering BMS projects from design through to handover across commercial, industrial, and public sector environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, engineering, and delivery of BMS projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Develop BMS software, graphics, and control strategies using leading platforms.
• Oversee BMS installation works, coordinating with subcontractors, site managers, and project stakeholders.
• Carry out commissioning, testing, and system optimisation.
• Review and interpret project documentation including control panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Prepare project reports, O&M documentation, test sheets, and handover packs.
• Attend project meetings, providing technical input and updates.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Provide technical support to engineers and subcontractors.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong understanding of BMS control systems, HVAC plant, and building automation.
• Experience with platforms such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider, or similar.
• Ability to develop and commission BMS software, graphics, and control logic.
• Good understanding of electrical installation and control panel construction.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Proven track record in BMS project delivery or commissioning.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks.

Desirable Qualifications

• Trend or Tridium certification.
• HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
• CSCS/ECS card or site safety training.
• Experience with integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus, KNX.
