Job Title: BMS Project Engineer

Overview
We are looking for an experienced BMS Project Engineer to join our project delivery team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Building Management Systems, including project engineering, software development, commissioning, and coordination of installation works. You will play a key role in delivering BMS projects from design through to handover across commercial, industrial, and public sector environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, engineering, and delivery of BMS projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Develop BMS software, graphics, and control strategies using leading platforms.
- Oversee BMS installation works, coordinating with subcontractors, site managers, and project stakeholders.
- Carry out commissioning, testing, and system optimisation.
- Review and interpret project documentation including control panel drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Prepare project reports, O&M documentation, test sheets, and handover packs.
- Attend project meetings, providing technical input and updates.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Provide technical support to engineers and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
- Strong understanding of BMS control systems, HVAC plant, and building automation.
- Experience with platforms such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider, or similar.
- Ability to develop and commission BMS software, graphics, and control logic.
- Good understanding of electrical installation and control panel construction.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Proven track record in BMS project delivery or commissioning.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project tasks.
Desirable Qualifications
- Trend or Tridium certification.
- HNC/HND or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
- CSCS/ECS card or site safety training.
- Experience with integration protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus, KNX.
