Job summary

A healthcare analytics company is seeking an experienced Band 3 Laboratory Technician in Blood Sciences. You will be responsible for rotating through all areas of the laboratories, preparing and processing clinical specimens, and maintaining high standards of safety. Candidates must have an NVQ3 or equivalent, experience in a biomedical laboratory, and a commitment to personal development. This full-time role requires night shifts and offers a supportive working environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or equivalent qualification with 3 GCSEs.
• Experience in a Biomedical laboratory is essential.
• Knowledge of quality management systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through all areas of the Laboratories as required.
• Prepare and process clinical specimens for biomedical testing.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
• Provide leadership of trainee Medical Laboratory Assistants.

Skills

Experience of working in a Biomedical laboratory

Knowledge of LIMS

High degree of dexterity

Education

NVQ3 or equivalent

Minimum of 3 GCSEs

Science A Levels or degree entry qualification
