Job Description

We’re now looking for a Bid Manager to join our growing team – someone who brings experience, energy, and ambition to help us win more strategic work, particularly across public sector frameworks and direct opportunities.This is a pivotal role in our business development function, responsible for leading and managing end-to-end bid processes for high-value opportunities.

You will work closely with Subject Matter Experts, Consultants, Sales, and Leadership teams to develop compelling, compliant, and winning proposals – with a particular focus on the public sector.

You’ll also play a key role in driving improvements across our bid processes, tools, and content – so we get better every time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of bids, from opportunity shaping, qualification and win strategy to submission and post-bid reviews.
  • Manage complex, multi-disciplinary bid teams to deliver high-quality responses to strict deadlines.
  • Write and review high-impact, technically accurate, and tailored responses that clearly articulate our value proposition.
  • Ensure all submissions meet client requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Continuously improve bidding processes, templates, and collateral – proactively identifying areas for efficiency and quality gains.
  • Support internal knowledge sharing and coaching of more junior team members.
  • Be able to extract the best out of bid team members including SME’s to develop a high scoring bid submission.
  • Ability to identify risks and propose solutions to mitigate
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of bid management experience, ideally in an IT consultancy or Professional Services environment.
  • Strong track record of winning public sector bids – especially across key UK government frameworks (G-Cloud, DOS, etc.).
  • Excellent written English and the ability to write, edit, and tailor compelling, persuasive content.
  • Strong project management skills – able to manage multiple complex bids with competing deadlines.
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and quality-driven.
  • A proactive self-starter who takes ownership, spots opportunities to improve, and drives change.
  • Comfortable collaborating and challenging across technical, commercial, and delivery teams – with the gravitas to lead senior stakeholders.
  • APMP Foundation (or higher) is desirable, but not essential.
  • Experience of working on multi partner bids
  • Strong track record of wins
