Job summary

A premier education staffing agency in Reading is seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide crucial support to pupils with special educational needs and challenging behaviour. This role involves working 1:1 with students and requires a graduate with strong behaviour management skills and experience in youth or support work. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing children's education. This is a contract position starting ASAP with a daily rate of £90-£95.

Qualifications

  • Graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children is desirable.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and, ideally, restraint training.

Role Summary

An excellent Primary school in Reading is currently recruiting for a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to develop their experience with Special Educational Needs and Behavioural Needs. The position will involve working 1:1 with pupils with Special Needs and challenging behaviour in the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Working 1:1 with pupils with Special Needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Providing support to children with mental health difficulties, challenging behaviour, and learning disabilities such as autism.
Qualifications
  • Graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children is desirable.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and, ideally, restraint training.
