Banking & Finance Associate

A growing national law firm is seeking a talented and ambitious Banking & Finance Associate to join its expanding team.

You will work closely with senior lawyers across the firm’s banking and finance team, contributing to the continued growth of the practice. The team advises a broad client base across the UK market, including clearing banks, challenger and alternative lenders, debt funds, international banks, asset-based lenders, and other corporate and institutional clients.

The Role

You will advise borrowers and lenders on a wide range of national and international financing matters, including corporate banking, real estate finance, development and investment finance, acquisition and leveraged finance, asset-based lending, government-backed finance and debt capital markets transactions. The role also involves supporting corporate and real estate teams on the finance aspects of private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and property-related deals. Active involvement in business development and building strong client relationships will be encouraged.

The Candidate

Applicants should ideally have 1-4 years’ PQE, gained at a firm with a strong reputation in banking and finance. Experience should be largely or wholly within the banking and finance sector, combined with ambition, strong technical ability and a desire to progress within a supportive and expanding team.
