Job description

Overview

Work with Banking senior management and the various lending teams to support delivery of Banking strategy; implement key actions, facilitate day-to-day operations and improve processes across Banking.

Responsibilities

• Project management responsibilities: define objectives, set targets, measure against milestones, report on progress, achieve goals.
• Collaborate with the Group Credit team to ensure the information provided to Group committees/boards is consistent in terms of presentation and messaging.
• Ensure communication for Banking teams is consistent and co-ordinated with Wealth Management communications.
• Analyse areas for improvement in current processes and procedures for optimised efficiency and productivity.
• Assist in facilitating effective decision-making, management of resources and execution of action items and top priorities agreed by Banking senior management;
• Collaborate with the Group Head of Banking on management presentations, training/development, town halls, offsite events and other ad-hoc initiatives/projects.
• Maintain a flexible mindset to perform varying duties and travel as needed to locations with lending teams.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; well-developed interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with key stakeholders; highly versatile and dedicated to efficient productivity.
• Willingness to travel and spend time in locations with lending teams.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately to tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Computer literate (Advanced MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint).
• Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years' professional experience in a role that involves project management and experience of people-related issues.
• Knowledge of/experience in the financial services industry.

Rothschild & Co lending activities

• Private Client Lending (PCL) teams located in London, Guernsey, Zurich and Marseille which provide lending services to our Wealth Management clients, including Lombard lending (secured on investment assets) and mortgages (secured on residential property).
• Real Estate Debt Management (REDM) team based in Wilmslow (Cheshire), who arrange and manage commercial real estate loans with mandates from third party investment firms and also co-lend in these transactions.
• Group Credit team in London, responsible for reporting on all the loan books within the Group and lending to other parts of the group (including funds managed by the Wealth & Asset Management and Five Arrows businesses).
