Overview

Continuity of Care Services is looking for compassionate, dedicated and caring with genuine empathy Support Worker to provide complex care support to our clients living with severe traumatic brain injury, autism, learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge. Our clients are very active and enjoy engaging with the community. They require patient carer who can provide a high level of complex care and to access the community as they love going out to country parks, cinemas, swimming and other social events. Before you begin, you will have the opportunity to meet your clients and their family to ensure you are well- prepared for the role.

Responsibilities
  • Accompanying on social events or shopping etc.
  • Basic household chores
  • Personal care
  • Medication administration
  • Moving and handling
  • Positive Behaviour Support (preferred but training will be given)
  • PEG
  • Tracheostomy
  • Catheter and stoma care
  • Epilepsy care
  • Diabetes
  • PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
Qualifications and requirements
  • Former experience and awareness is preferred but training will be given otherwise
  • Previous experience in community support or social services
  • Previous experience working with people with Learning Disabilities and Autism
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Please note you must be eligible to work in the UK. We do not offer sponsorship
