Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Paramedic to join our Primary Care team at HM Dovegate, a category B Prison located near Uttoxeter in Staffordshire.

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

Hours

Monday to Friday: 06.45 - 18.15 or 06.45 - 20.15

Weekends: 07.45 - 18:15

Salary: You’ll receive a bank hourly rate of £23 (weekdays) and £24.79 (weekends).

Main duties of the job

As a Bank Paramedic, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them – focusing on emergency and unplanned care for patients with both primary care and acute care needs.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, build therapeutic relationships and promote professional boundaries.
  • Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies and procedures, always considering safeguarding.

Experience in either Accident & Emergency, Primary Care environments or Minor injuries/illness. Experience in hospital, community or prison environments is desirable but not essential.
