Senior Ophthalmic Technicians are a crucial support service within the Ophthalmic specialities. They perform diagnostic tests in different clinics within the department. These include Visual Field Tests, Optical Coherence Tomography, Fundus Photography and iCare Tonometry. They also provide support to a team of Ophthalmic Technicians. The Glaucoma service has Senior Technician-led clinics. Some of these clinics are offsite and some Saturday working may be required. To lead on a Technician-led Ophthalmology service and deliver an ophthalmic diagnostic service, within the department of Ophthalmology.
