Rate: £28–£37

Working hours: Monday – Friday

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ward & Dispensary Pharmacist to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medication, contributing to patient care plans, and supporting the overall healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the dispensing of medications, conduct medication reviews, and provide clinical advice to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in ward rounds and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical guidelines.
  • Oversee the safe storage and handling of pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide training and support to junior staff.
  • Manage ward duties with some dispensary support.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Registered Pharmacist with the GPHC.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of pharmacotherapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in conducting medication reviews and providing clinical advice.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and best practices in pharmacy.
