Responsibilities
  • Provide an exceptional ultrasound service, conducting unsupervised scanning sessions with excellence and diligence.
  • Operate as an independent practitioner, working closely with modality leads and the ultrasound lead to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Maintain high standards of medical imaging quality, generating accurate, informative reports and adhering to department protocols.
  • Always work within your professional scope, ensuring a high level of personal expertise and accountability for your clinical actions.
  • Participate actively in continuous professional development and maintain your professional registration.
  • Utilise facilities effectively to enhance patient care, and support the implementation of service improvements as required.
  • Safely operate ultrasound equipment, adhering to BMUS guidelines, and participate in peer reviews, audits, mentorship, and training.
  • Contribute to weekend rotas to support the Early Pregnancy Clinic and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) Clinic.
