A community healthcare trust in Birmingham seeks a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist. We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and forward thinking community team, acting as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist supporting training needs and holding a clinical caseload. We have a number of SLTs who are developing their dysphagia skills and provide placements for many students and so need a dedicated member of the team to oversee, supervise and support their ongoing training needs in the area of Dysphagia. To contribute to the identification of training needs of team members, other professionals and deliver training in the highly specialist area. To take delegated responsibility for ensuring high quality speech and language therapy post registration paediatric dysphagia training and competence, across the city, in conjunction with the Advanced Specialists and Professional Lead. To be the lead clinician for the education of clinical SLT staff and students in the area of Dysphagia. To provide Speech and Language Therapy at a highly specialist level, functioning in partnership with other agencies and disciplines to support in the holistic assessment, diagnosis and intervention for children and young people known to the service.
UK Home Office Visa Sponsorship requirements: In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, Band 2 clinical and non-clinical roles and Band 3 Non-Clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship. All non-clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands 7 - 9) that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF 6) and salary threshold will be eligible for sponsorship.
