We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 and 8a Clinical Wards Pharmacist to join our clients team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting patient care through comprehensive medication management and clinical expertise.

What will your responsibilities be:

As a Band 7 or 8a Clinical Wards Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmaceutical care to patients across various medical wards, including acute medical units and the emergency department. Your duties will include conducting medication reviews, advising on the safe and effective use of medicines, and ensuring the accurate dispensing of prescriptions. You will also be expected to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, participate in ward rounds, and contribute to the development and implementation of treatment plans. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and using electronic prescribing systems like Cerner to support clinical decision-making.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC)
  • Extensive hospital pharmacy experience
  • Experience working on various medical wards, including acute medical units or emergency departments (desirable)
  • Proficiency in using electronic prescribing systems, such as Cerner
  • Strong understanding of clinical pharmacology and therapeutics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
