An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band‑6 or an established Band 5 Radiographer to join our friendly and supportive team as a specialist radiographer within interventional radiology. Full training, support, mentorship, and supervision will be provided. You must be enthusiastic, kind, self‑motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. The post will be primarily based on the QEHB site.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will rotate through the Cardiac catheter labs, Interventional Radiology whilst maintaining their established radiographic skills.

Interest in Interventional Radiology and Cardiac catheter lab is essential. You must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. You will need the ability to work under pressure with a flexible approach to working time. Being sympathetic, caring and the ability to work within a team are essential.

Participation in the out of hours 24/7 on call service including weekends and bank holidays is essential.

It is important that you are able to work autonomously and are able to work flexibly within the different multi-disciplinary teams using your clinical expertise to provide a quality service.

To organise and prioritise workload as required, in a specialised modality area taking into account the patients' clinical condition and the imaging request, in a safe and efficient manner.

To record data concerning the patients' examination, in line with IRMER 2017 legislation and factors relating to the patients clinical condition, and details of drugs administered during the course of the patient's examination.

Qualifications

• *D.C.R. (R) or BSc Radiography
• *HCPC Registration
• *Evidence of CPD and reflective practice
• *Appropriate specialist education, e.g. modules relevant to area of practice, postgraduate diploma qualification, or equivalent experience.
• *Leadership course
• *Short student teaching course and assessor training

Experience

• *A range of radiographic experience within an Imaging department
• *Documented experience in Imaging
• *Understanding of relevant legislation and Radiation Regulations
• *Awareness of Radiographers Code of Conduct
• *Documented experience in specialised imaging modalities, e.g. CT, angiography, Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory, MRI, Ultrasound.
