What You Will Do:
  • Manage your own caseload, undertaking assessment, planning, and delivery of care for individuals with mental health issues within the prison.
  • Offer a range of interventions across the stepped care model, including primary mental health care and wellbeing interventions.
  • Coordinate with prison staff and various agencies to provide integrated care for prisoners.
  • Implement and manage care programs for individuals on your caseload, ensuring aftercare and referrals are arranged as needed.
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of the Mental Health Act and related policies, ensuring compliance in a prison environment.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with service users, their families, prison staff, and health professionals to deliver high standards of care.
