Job description
Overview

You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex liver conditions, including pre-and post liver transplant patients. This is a fast-paced, high specialised clinical area requiring advanced clinical skills, strong leadership and a compassionate approach.

Responsibilities
  • You will support the Ward Manager in leading the team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care and contributing to the ongoing development of staff and services.
  • You will act as a role model and clinical expert, promoting excellence in using practice and supporting patients through often life-changing diagnosis and treatments.
  • Deliver skilled, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic liver disease, including those undergoing liver transplantation.
  • Act as a shift leader, coordinating care, managing the ward safely and supporting junior staff.
  • Participate in and support the education, training and development of team members, including students and newly qualified nurses.
  • Liaise closely with multidisciplinary team, including hepatologist, transplant team, dieticians, physiotherapist and specialist nurses.
  • Participate in clinical audits.
