We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated SCPHN Health Visitors with initiative and drive who are passionate about providing an excellent service to support children and their families achieve best start in life.

About the HUB

At the BFS Health Visiting Virtual HUB we are continuing to re-imagine and re-shape the way Health Visitors work. We have a diverse and inclusive team of skill mix who work collaboratively with services/partners/key stakeholders and all our families to support the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme and provide the highest level of clinical excellence.

This is a new initiative which reimagines the delivery of BFS Health Visiting Service for the City of Birmingham, which involves qualified practitioners providing a virtual telephone and email service from a single point of access. Whilst this is a desk-based role, which does not involve direct face to face contact with service users, future planning will involve utilisation of virtual consultation, such as attend anywhere and chat health.

Role Requirements
  • To offer advice and support to parents, professionals and stakeholders via telephone and email.
  • Assessing the need of families – who contact the HUB via telephone - providing advice, support, and signposting.
  • Managing telephone and email correspondence from professionals and stakeholders, prioritising where necessary in order of need and importance.
  • Requirements of the role include supporting the development of the Assistant Practitioners, in their HUB role.
