Job description
Band 4/5 Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Band 4 or 5 Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician to join a team in Barrow‑in‑Furness on a contract basis.

The successful candidate must be GPhC registered. Knowledge of ward‑based medicines reconciliation, audits, patient counselling, dispensing, and storage of medication will be necessary.

This is a 3–6 month contract with potential extension opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the work of a busy pharmacy and undertake dispensing of all types of medication/prescriptions for patient use.
  • Provide pharmaceutical services at a good level in specialist areas including audit, final accuracy checking and medicines reconciliation.
  • Provide safe, timely, cost‑effective appropriate and high‑quality pharmaceutical services for patients and staff.

This is a Full‑Time position – Monday – Friday 9‑5 or 8:30‑4:30. Part‑time considered.

Pay rate: £15.00 – £20.00 per hour (depending on banding).
