Overview

To provide a Materials Management replenishment service on behalf of the wards/departments using computerised systems and Personal Data Assistants (PDAs) with bar coding data capture functionality, ensuring that all stocks are managed and replenished appropriately to agreed levels. Where required undertaking of operational duties associated with Receipt and Distribution for Royal Orthopaedic Hospital site in accordance with agreed procedures and delivery schedules, To assist with the delivery of goods in a safe, efficient and secure manner to the correct users, recording orders onto delivery whilst identifying any attractive and/or valuable items to end user.

Responsibilities

• Provide a Materials Management replenishment service on behalf of wards/departments using computerised systems and PDAs with bar coding data capture functionality, ensuring stocks are managed and replenished to agreed levels.
• Where required, undertake operational duties associated with Receipt and Distribution for Royal Orthopaedic Hospital site in accordance with agreed procedures and delivery schedules.
• Assist with the delivery of goods in a safe, efficient and secure manner to the correct users, recording orders onto delivery documentation and identifying any attractive and/or valuable items to end user.
• Assist with the collection of roll cages after deliveries to the stores area and secure for prompt NHS Supply Chain collection.
• Process online requisitions through NHS Supply Chain e-ordering portal and the Trust's EDC systems.
